Book #11
This is the second book I did for the What's Next? series. In the previous entry I  talk about the first, Rainboots for Breakfast, which came out at the same time.

I still remember the fear of having to draw shopping carts. Take a moment and picture drawing one of these yourself. All those criss-crossing bars, that you could see through to the other criss-crossing bars... That weird pinched rectangular box shape...

I was still living in East Haven, CT and went to the nearby supermarket, where I sat outside in front of one of those beasts and practiced drawing it from different angles. I so totally cheated on the cover!

Okay, I did do a full cart!

Same premise as Rainboots for Breakfast - the reader is asked what the character does next and is offered 3 silly choices and 1 sensible.
Aside from the "Slim Hippo" being purchased by the lady in yellow, the characters are basically people in animal costumes, doing very people-y things. The rabbits are stocking up on vegetables, a rabbity thing to do, I guess, but I don't think adult rabbits are milk drinkers. And I'm guessing that's cow's milk, or at least that was what I was thinking at the time, without really thinking about it. Probably better not to think about it.

Next week, a snail, doing very people-y things.
